This hotel is so underrated, always has been. Let's get this out of the way. This hotel is a 20-minute drive from the Strip, 15 minutes away from Downtown, and is on the East Side of Vegas. It is on bus routes if you are interested in taking busses, Ubers, or taxis around town which I highly recommend over renting a car or driving anywhere in Vegas (I lived here too, so that is my local tip). Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. You are not getting in room elevators without passing security, so hallways are quiet and safe. Some rooms have windows facing outside with mountain or Strip views while the other rooms face the atrium which is awesome too. The rooms facing the atrium are not loud, even during their light and fountain shows. Many people have no clue about the atrium, so please look up pictures (I deleted mine). In the atrium, you will find a very nice, yet affordable steakhouse you can afford to take a family to, with GREAT food. Seriously one of the best in Vegas, even if you took prices off every other steakhouse. Hotel check in is also in the atrium, as well as a sundries store with prices somehow cheaper than grocery stores throughout the valley, nowhere near the Strip. A Very pleasant surprise. In the far back Southeast corner, you will find a small food court with McDonalds, Panda Express, and Robertos Taco Shop (24 hours and a local favorite around town). In the massive casino you will find a long bar and a sportsbook bar that is also fairly large to accompany their massive sportsbook. There is also a separate Dunkin Donuts and a Subway shop there as well. I believe there may be an ice cream shop too. There is a movie theater upstairs and bowling center with bar/ restaurant downstairs. This hotel literally has everything for the typical guys trip to Vegas or a family vacation. You do not have to leave the property for anything, if you don't want to. Across the street from major shopping too, including a Super Walmart. For the amount of time usually spent in a room, these rooms are phenomenal. Staff is beyond incredible, and most have been there for decades, which tells you a lot in this town. Check in is at 4, but they will get you in early at no additional cost, if they can!

Unexpected gem just 20 mins from airport! We landed in vegas and just needed a quick night to stay before driving out towards sedona/ grand canyon area. The cute indoor park area and quick and easy restaurants made it very enjoyable. There's a walmart supercenter 5 mins away which made it quick to grab a few things before we continued on our road trip. We landed and checked in quite late past midnight and as the night goes on the casino does have a few shady looking characters here as it is a 24 hour area but nothing to be too concerned about. Hotel rooms were great. Would recommend for a quick stay for a road trip!

Been going to Vegas for trade shows for 20+ years This was the first time I tried Sam's Town and all I can say is this will be my go to going forward. Yes it is off the beaten path and it does take about 20 minutes to get to the LV convention center....but it can take 20 minutes from most anywhere else in Vegas. The casual vibe and room set up is very nice and parking once you figure out the lay of the land is very convenient. First time visitor here and very impressed with the staff and the accommodations. As Arnold says "I'll be back!" ;)

Travelers should first know is that Sam’sTown is a smoking casino. There are ashtrays at quite a number of the machines. There is no good way to completely escape tobacco smoke. Travelers should also know that Sam’sTown is located off-the-strip and in an economically depressed area. We saw a number of homeless people around and inside the complex, including in the casino bathrooms, but we didn’t observe direct confrontations between the locals and the casino guests. The Sam’sTown facility itself is in most ways more than adequate, with a good-sized and delightful atrium full of live trees in the middle. Its rooms are clean and promptly made up daily, without the transparent excuse of some hotels that not having daily clean sheets and towels will “save the planet.” We did go without hot water for awhile in the middle of the night but, overall, the complex is fine. An assortment of national brand fast-food joints and a couple of fancier restaurants inside the complex make dining choices within the walls fairly broad. And the Sam’sTown staff is really quite good. From the front desk and bellmen to the abundant security staff, the employees were well-motivated and clearly there to help. Bottom line: If you want a somewhat bargain-feeling experience off the strip, and you don’t mind tobacco smoke, Sam’s Town is a reasonable choice, particularly in view of the pleasant atrium and even more pleasant staff. If you’re tobacco-adverse, want a bit more glitz, and don’t particularly want to just stay in one facility, look further.

Best place I’ve stayed at in Vegas. They were able to get us in since our last hotel was trash And we had to switch hotels mid vacation. The rooms spacious and very clean. The staff is super friendly. Super helpful and the pricing is very reasonable . We were able to get really decently priced drinks at the bar gamble. Some had a lot of fun and the top of it all off they have a restaurant here called the angry butcher 10 out of 10 I do recommend!!!
